How to Calculate Your Payment

The above car payment calculator requires some basic information about your vehicle and your loan terms. Here is a step-by-step tutorial on how to utilize our Calculate My Payment tool.

  • Vehicle Price: Start by entering the vehicle price. This is the price you and your salesperson have agreed upon and includes the entire amount you are looking to finance.
  • Interest Rate: Your financing pre-approval should assign you an interest rate based on your credit history. Choose the rate from the drop-down menu.
  • Loan Term: This is the length of your auto loan. Select how many months you plan to finance your vehicle.
  • Down Payment: Are you putting cash down toward your new vehicle purchase? If so, enter the amount in the corresponding box. It will be deducted from the total amount to be financed.
  • Trade-In Value: Type in the trade-in value that the dealer has offered you for your current vehicle. This amount will also be subtracted from your financing total.

Finally, click on the Calculate Payments icon, and the Payment Details box below it will automatically populate with your results.
